Best American Healthcare university Inland Empire Home  Health aide courses are held at the Riverside and Ontario campuses. Classes are available for those who are not nurse assistants as well as those who are already CNAs. Weekend, weekday and evening classes available. Duties: A Home Health Aide is an essential member of a healthcare team. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse,they may bathe, dress, feed, mobilize and transport people; obtain temperature, pulse and blood pressure measurements; and report observations and reactions. Other duties may include preparation of equipment, care of the patient’s room and record keeping. The home Health Aide functions as a home maker for the clients helping the client leave in the comfort of their own homes while they are rehabilitating.At the conclusion of the Home Health Aide program, the student sits for a completion exam at the school. If successful, student will receive their state certificate within few weeks from the California Department of Public health. There are two types of home health aide programs: 40 hours for individuals who are already Certified Nurse Assistants 120 hours for individuals who are not Certified Nurse Assistants Click here for class dates and registration! Program Description: The Home Health Aide program consists of theory hours and hours of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility. The course is conducted during weekdays, Monday through Friday for one week for the 40 hour program and 3 weeks for the 120 hour program or Sundays – 10 Sundays,  (2pm-6pm for 40 hour), (6am-8pm for 120 hour) Click here for class dates and registration! Program Admission Requirements: Program application Successful Nurse Assistant Training program in California (Required only for the 40 hours program) Health Form and Immunization documentation 16 years of age Caregiver background check Mandatory orientation Financial competence   Program Outcomes: Placement on the California Home Health Aide Registry (if student successfully passes the final test) Provides safe care to a diverse client population and meets physical and psychosocial client needs. Effectively uses verbal, nonverbal and written communication skills to communicate with all clients and families, document client information and communicate with members of the home health agency team. Works cooperatively in a team environment. Demonstrates ethical/legal behavior by functioning under the direct supervision of a designated health care professional.
