Master of Public Health (M.P.H)
BAHU proposed M.P.H program is a 56 quarter unit program that will be taught both online and on the traditional class room setting with capstone included. The purpose of the M.P.H. program is to foster the development of professional public health values, concepts, and ethical practices through the preparation of public health practitioners with specialized knowledge, skills, and competencies in health promotion, disease prevention, and management who are able to identify and assess the needs of diverse populations; plan, implement, and evaluate programs to address those needs; and assure conditions that prevent disease; protect and promote the health of individuals, populations, and communities, with special attention to the underserved and reduction of health disparities.
Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (M.S.H.A)
The healthcare administration degree is a 59 unit program that prepares individuals for leadership and management positions in a very complex and dynamic healthcare industry. It is designed for professionals who wish to advance in their management careers or individuals interested in pursuing a healthcare management career such as those in health service organizations, healthcare systems, hospitals, assisted living facilities, medical group practices, managed care organizations, home care agencies, pharmaceutical companies, management consulting firms and industries that supply services to healthcare organizations. The program integrates learning and experience. It emphasizes the key areas of organizational and financial management, human resources, ethical behavior, and leadership skills that are important to developing effective health care managers.
Candidates must satisfactorily complete 59 graduate credits, with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, consisting of a core curriculum of ten courses, three courses chosen from one of two options, and a capstone course.
